Two young people were trapped in the vehicle and died almost instantly. The other three are in serious condition and remain admitted to different hospitals in Madrid. Five broken families. Faced with an accident of this magnitude, the City Council of Arganda del Rey (Madrid) called yesterday at 8:00 p.m. a rally to observe five minutes of silence in the Plaza de la Constitución in tribute to the two young people from the municipality who died in the aforementioned incident. traffic accident. Many neighbors joined the rally. In addition, three days of official mourning have been declared. The silence that invaded the square said it all.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, 37 years old, also died.

In the other car, five young people from Arganda del Rey were traveling, two of them aged 26 and 23 died and three others were seriously injured and remain admitted to hospitals, with a reserved prognosis.

The injured, a man, 27 years old, another, 22, and a woman, 19, were transferred to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital, the Ramón y Cajal Hospital and the La Paz Hospital, respectively.

The City Council has expressed its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and has shown its support to those who have their children hospitalized due to the fatal accident.

One of the deceased young people, Aitor, was the son of a Más Madrid councilor in the municipality, José Rodríguez, who noted on the social network X last Saturday that "a kamikaze driver has left five families destroyed." "Only those who are forgotten die and you will never die. I love you, son," Rodríguez wrote. However, the councilor of the leftist formation is logically devastated and this Monday through the communication services of his political party in the Community of Madrid he stated that he could not address the media.

The mayor of Arganda del Rey, Alberto Escribano, has expressed his dismay at the accident and has sent his love to the family and friends of the deceased and the injured in these moments of "pain" and "sadness."

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, launched a message on social networks regretting the event that occurred that fateful morning.

"We want to express our love and deepest condolences to their families and friends in these difficult times," Ayuso added. in a message written on the social network X.

Now, the civil guard is investigating whether the kamikaze was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
