Last December, agents of the Elx Local Police arrested a man for allegedly attacking his ex-partner, who was left unconscious and convulsing on the ground. The victim had fled Germany towards the city of Elche for fear of the aggressor.
The events occurred when a Local Police team was notified that a woman was lying on the ground unconscious and convulsing on Ausiàs March Street, as indicated by the Elx City Council in a statement.
The agents went to the scene to confirm the condition of the young woman and requested medical assistance. While she was being treated, the police interviewed the victim's sister, who explained that they were both sitting on the terrace of a cafeteria.
At one point, she entered the establishment and when she came out she found her sister convulsing. Next to the victim was her ex-partner, from whom she had fled, changing her residence from Germany to Elx.
A few minutes later, the victim's father appeared at the scene, explaining to the police that they had moved from Germany three months ago, since his daughter's ex-partner was attacking her "on a regular basis." The father said that he witnessed these attacks and that a complaint was never filed due to his daughter's fear of possible retaliation.
The man also showed the agents his surprise that the aggressor had found the whereabouts of the family. Due to what happened, the alleged aggressor, a 20-year-old man, was arrested and taken to police stations.
