Traffic Civil Guard agents are searching all over Mallorca for the driver of a vehicle that this morning fatally ran over a 36-year-old woman and then fled. The Civil Guard reports that at 02:50 in the morning on Sunday, the impact occurred, in front of the Palacio de Congresos de Palma, and the driver fled the place without attending to the victim.
At that moment, the woman was crossing the pedestrian crossing that allows access from the Palacio de Congresos to Can Pere Antoni beach, the urban beach of Palma, but the driver rushed at the woman, did not stop the vehicle when he saw what had happened and fled, according to several witnesses who were present. The car was heading towards Palma from the highway that leads to the airport.
The vehicle was traveling at high speed, so the woman's death was almost instantaneous and, despite the efforts of the emergency services that immediately moved to the area, they could not do anything for her as a result of the seriousness of her condition. the wounds. The crash was very strong and the vehicle lost part of the pieces, which gives a clue about its owner, who has been wanted since the event took place.

The death of a woman occurs a few days after a very similar event. A drunk driver ran over another girl very close to the scene of the event, a few meters from the hit-and-run this morning, and also fled.
