Last Friday, thieves stole a luxury watch, valued at 500,000 euros, from a tourist who was walking along the central Passeig de Gràcia in the Catalan capital.

As reported by the owner and reported by El País, the watch is from the Richad Mille brand and the victim suffered some scratches on his wrist from the pull that caused the theft. The Catalan police are looking for both the jewel and the thieves.

According to the same newspaper, the robbery took place last Friday afternoon. It was a holiday, so the center of Barcelona had a large influx of people. It was after 4:00 p.m. when the perpetrators of the robbery noticed a man wearing a high-end watch on his wrist and attacked him.

The modus operandi followed by the thieves was as follows: one of the thieves stole the watch and subsequently passed it to the other, who fled at full speed on an electric scooter. At first, the police officers who were in the area tried to follow the thieves, but they fled at high speed with electric scooters.

The theft of high-end watches has become common both in Barcelona and other cities in Spain. A few days ago it was learned that two thieves stole a €100,000 watch in the Salamanca neighborhood of Madrid.
