This Saturday, the scientific and judicial police located a new body in the burned building in the Campanar neighborhood of Valencia, which brings the total number of fatalities in this incident to ten, as reported by the Government Delegation in the Valencian Community.

Early this Saturday, agents from the scientific and judicial police brigade re-entered the interior of the damaged building to inspect it and located a new body, which is added to the nine found this Friday and which would correspond to the only one person who was missing.

"We are going to continue working in the next few hours, and in the next few days if necessary, to review the entire building inch by inch. The police have told me that there is a lot of rubble and that the work is very complex," Pilar Bernabé stressed. , Government delegate in the Valencian Community.

In this sense, he recalled that the work of identifying the ten victims will now begin, which will be "very complex" and which they intend to carry out "with full guarantee so that the families can say goodbye as they deserve and correspond to their relatives."

Likewise, he has detailed that the balance of victims "is provisional until all the work is concluded", although he has admitted that the number of missing people they had in mind agrees with the number of deaths.

Agents from the National Police made up of a multidisciplinary team from the General Scientific Police Station of Madrid and the Provincial Scientific Police Brigade of Valencia and investigation units of the Judicial Police participated in the new inspection of the building.

Along with these units is a forensic team, all of them coordinated by the judicial authority, to continue the work of identifying the victims and investigating the causes of the fire, in actions that are under summary secrecy.
