Spain was one of the first countries in the world to legalize same-sex marriage, and also to enact a comprehensive non-discrimination law. However, although the acceptance and equal rights of LGTBI people is normalized and the order of the day, the truth is that unfortunately some cases of homophobia still persist.
This has been demonstrated by the TikTok user @pauidiazz, a young woman who has gone viral after reporting a case of homophobia in Alicante on networks: a neighbor rebuked her and her girlfriend while they were taking couple photos.
The discord video. As can be seen in the images, the two young women were on the street trying to make a video and beautiful photos as a couple, nothing out of the ordinary, just being affectionate with each other.
Neighbor's comments Even so, the scene greatly annoyed a neighbor who did not hesitate to intervene and scold the two young women: “But what are you doing there?”, “Photos or video?”, “What for? To upload it to what, doing there groping in front of everyone. Come on, get out of here. Come, go, go, please," said the neighbor.
But not only that, while one of the young women tried to excuse herself by assuring that they were only taking photos, the neighbor added: “Shoot, man! You send it to your pretty mother. Come on, go, shoot! ”, She kept insisting while they left the place.
Indignation. Some embarrassing comments that the young women have not hesitated to denounce through social networks, showing the homophobia they have suffered in Alicante: "I couldn't tell him anything because I didn't expect it, it's a shame that these things continue to happen in 2023", points out the young woman in the video description.
Viral. Some images that have not taken long to go viral with more than a million and a half views and all kinds of comments about it, most of them outraged by the neighbor's comments and sending messages of encouragement to the young women.
