A 54-year-old motorcyclist died this morning in a traffic accident in Ciutat Vella in which a truck was involved.
As reported by the Barcelona Urban Guard (GUB) in a statement, the accident occurred shortly after 7:00 a.m. at number 6 of Avenida de las Drassanes, in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona.
The Urban Guard, Barcelona Fire Department and the Medical Emergency System were dispatched to the scene. The Accident Investigation and Prevention Unit of the GUB investigates the causes of the accident in order to carry out the corresponding attestation.
This is the twenty fatalities due to traffic accidents in the city this year. The City Council regrets the death of this citizen and conveys its condolences to his family and friends, strengthening the municipal commitment to continue working to reduce traffic victims in the city.
