Civil Guard agents belonging to the Playa de las Américas Company have arrested a man who tried to swallow a bag with 16 doses of heroin at a checkpoint established in the Cabo Blanco area.
This man tried to evade the device by making sudden maneuvers with his vehicle, without succeeding, and then tried to swallow the pieces of paper he was carrying when he saw the agents approaching, who prevented him from doing so.
In another intervention, agents from the same detachment arrested a man who was carrying a piece of hashish weighing more than 50 grams, as well as cash, in the Chayofa area.
Both have been made available to the Arona guard duty investigating court, the Civil Guard reports in a statement.
