The Municipal Police of Madrid have arrested a man for attacking his partner with a punch at their home in the Madrid district of San Blas-Canillejas and fleeing the scene with a van that the agents verified was listed as stolen.
The attack and subsequent arrest took place last Thursday night in a house on Virgen de la Oliva Street in San Blas, when the man, a 37-year-old Spaniard, argued and punched his partner, police sources have informed EFE. .
A person who lived with the couple was the one who alerted the agents, who went to the house and found the victim, also a 37-year-old Spaniard, with redness and bruises on her body, although she refused to be treated.
According to the witness, after an argument, the man became aggressive and punched the woman in the face, after which he fled in his allegedly stolen van.
This same person told the agents where the aggressor could be, that the vehicle he was driving was stolen and that he had blood on his pants.
After locating the van, which was detained by municipal services because it was registered as stolen or lost, they found the man nearby and arrested him.
"When I get out I'm going to kill whoever sold me and my wife if they convict me," the man said after the arrest, according to the same sources.
The man has been arrested accused of a crime of mistreatment and misappropriation.
