Although in Florida we would find many exotic animals, it is not very common to see a kangaroo walking freely in a residential complex. So when a neighbor called the emergency service to report the discovery, she mobilized a large device to capture the curious animal.
The Hillsborough County agents must have been astonished when they observed the animal that was locked up by the neighbor who discovered it in the community pool area.
The police used an infrared vision camera to see the marsupial from a height and be able to capture it more easily. The neighbor described the animal as “a large species.”
The agents were able to locate the owner of the kangaroo so they could deliver it to him after verifying the documentation. At no time was the kangaroo hurt nor did it cause any damage.
