A "justiciar" dressed as Batman returns the street to the neighbors in Gran Canaria

A resident of the capital of Gran Canaria, hidden under a Batman costume, has decided to act like the famous comic book character and take the law into his own hands.

Two weeks after the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council decided to paint the entire Guinart street in the La Isleta neighborhood with a yellow stripe, from front to back, and ended the possibility of free parking on the street, this “ justificiero”, as he calls himself, has not hesitated to put on the Batman suit and remove the entire yellow stripe with black paint.

The action of this anonymous citizen took place a few days ago and since the yellow stripe disappeared, the residents have resumed parking on the street with absolute normality, despite its difficulty since it is a very narrow road. The capital's City Council has not returned to the area to repaint the yellow stripe that was highly criticized by the residents of the area, especially because they suddenly found it one day.

In addition to eliminating the black stripe -an action that was recorded by another person in a video that has quickly spread through social networks-, the "justiciero" of La Isleta left his mark on the wall of the street rescued from the yellow zone, after draw a batman He also left a card at the door of the neighborhood residents. “Dear neighbors, I return the parking lot to you. Your justice BATMAN ”, he says in the letter.

The neighbors do not know who was responsible for the feat and the identity of the "justiciero", who decided to take the law into his own hands despite the risk of facing a fine of several thousand euros.

The current government team, led by a PSOE mayor, has characterized this legislature for regulating parking throughout the city, including peripheral neighborhoods, which has been widely criticized by residents.
