A detainee is sent to prison for the death of a young woman in Torremolinos whose body was abandoned in the middle of the street

They abandoned the body of a 22-year-old girl, who had died from an overdose, between two cars in the middle of the street in the Benyamina neighborhood, north of Torremolinos, and fled. The events occurred last September in this town in Malaga but it was now, six months later, when the National Police arrested one of the two involved, a 33-year-old man who has been provisionally imprisoned. The second suspect remains missing.

According to the investigation, the two suspects involved in the incident were involved in drug retailing in nightlife areas on the coast, both were roommates in Fuengirola (Málaga), and that night they went to their home accompanied by the victim, a 22-year-old Norwegian girl who was allegedly given narcotic substances whose ingestion would end her life.

Finally, in an attempt to disassociate themselves from the death, the alleged traffickers took the body to Torremolinos (but not before removing its personal belongings to make it difficult to identify) and abandoned it in the middle of a public street.

Two young people found the girl's body in the early hours of September 13, which began an investigation by agents of the Specialized and Violent Crime Unit (UDEV) of the National Police Station in Torremolinos-Benalmádena.

The investigations focused on identifying the body of a young woman, who only had a train card among her belongings, which would be very useful for the agents. The documentation led, after various verifications, to giving a name to her body, and subsequently, her identity being officially confirmed by the Norwegian authorities.

Once identified, the Police reconstructed her last days of life, with her loved ones not having heard from her since the early hours of September 11. According to the evidence collected by the UDEV agents, on the night of September 11, the victim was in Fuengirola, specifically at the home of two acquaintances, related to drug retail.

There, they provided him with substances whose ingestion would end his life. Next, in the early hours of September 13, around 1:15 a.m., the body of the young Norwegian woman was found on a street in Torremolinos. The suspects would have disposed of her lifeless body, in an attempt to disassociate themselves from the death.

One of the suspects, and the main one under investigation, was arrested on February 23 during a routine check, at the Méndez Álvaro bus station, in Madrid, by agents assigned to the Mobile Brigade, when he was preparing to take a bus. bus bound for Lisbon (Portugal).

The arrested person, who was carrying false documentation, had a warrant in force for his arrest in relation to the events. Both he and the second suspect, still to be located, are charged with the crimes of homicide, against public health, against road safety and document falsification. The Investigative Court number 2 of Fuengirola is aware of the facts, having ordered the detainee's provisional detention.
