The Civil Guard has arrested a businessman in Seville for monitoring a worker on medical leave with GPS, a device that he hid in the victim's car and that he contracted with false information on behalf of a third company.

As reported by this armed body, the investigation began in Mairena del Aljarafe (Seville) after a complaint filed by a citizen who stated that he had found a GPS locator hidden in the underbody of his private vehicle.

The complainant discovered this by chance when he observed damage to his vehicle while he was washing it, at which time he realized the illegal placement of a GPS locator that he gave to the agents.

During the investigation, the armed institute established a link between the events and managed to identify the alleged perpetrator, who turned out to be the boss of the complainant, with whom he had a labor dispute.

The Civil Guard has arrested the businessman as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against privacy, who is also charged with crimes of document falsification, damages and fraud. The imputation of these crimes is due to the fact that the person arrested fraudulently used a SIM card in the name of a company in the province of Zaragoza that was not related to those involved and that suffered bank charges that they had not noticed, derived from the use of the mobile line.

The proceedings carried out and the detainee have been placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court 8 of Seville.
