The Generalitat budget bill for this year amounted to 43,673 million euros with a growth forecast of 2,443 million euros, with 800 million allocated to health separately. This department received 10% more income with a total of 7,508 million euros, among which investments to consolidate the free second year of Early Childhood Education and combat school segregation stood out. Health. In this portfolio the growth was 5.6% compared to the previous budget. In total, there are 12,059, plus an extraordinary fund of 800 million euros. The forecast was to allocate half of these increases to salary improvements for health professionals.

Living place. The Generalitat had planned to invest 1,232 million in these policies, with a significant part coming from its own resources and others financed by the European Investment Bank. “The highest figure ever budgeted,” according to Pere Aragonès yesterday. Specifically, of the own resources, 570 million were allocated to the housing emergency through aid, 125 million to increase the public housing stock and 39 million to rehabilitate buildings and improve their accessibility.

Transportation. The investment allocated to this item of public works amounted to 2,862 million euros, which were broadly aimed at finishing implementing T-Mobilitat and finishing the works on L9 of the metro, as well as the extension of L8. Plus 508 million euros, with the aim of improving the road network and mobility in general.
