They were having a discussion in a nursing home in Puerto Serrano, in Cádiz, where they were both users, when one of them, aged 75, stabbed his partner, aged 66, in the neck, causing his death.
The alleged perpetrator of the attack, which took place last Monday at 12:00 p.m., has been arrested by the Civil Guard and will go to court tomorrow, Wednesday.
The victim received medical assistance at the Magdalena Center, but the health workers could not do anything to save his life given the seriousness of the injuries he had.
The crash occurred on the ground floor of the building, where both men shared space with other users of the residence. It was a worker at the center, according to Diario Cádiz, who managed to subdue the attacker and take away the knife with which she had seriously injured the victim.
A team of the Arcos de la Frontera Judicial Police proceeded to arrest the author, activating judicial protocol, while the laboratory unit of the Civil Guard of Cádiz carried out a visual inspection at the scene.
The detainee will be brought before the courts this Wednesday and the investigations are continuing.
