A 58-year-old man, a resident of Nueva Carteya (Córdoba), died this Friday while he was doing the harvesting work on a farm in the Cordoba town of Montilla, all of this on a day in which the area has been activated the red alert for heat from 1:00 p.m.
As reported by the 112 Andalusia Emergency Service and the Civil Guard, the event took place around 10:00 a.m., when the man began to feel dizzy on the farm and the 061 health professionals were activated.
Already in the area, the man has been treated, although he has died after receiving medical assistance. The body has been transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine to determine the causes of death, which has occurred in an area with a red level warning due to expected maximum temperatures of 44 degrees Celsius and which has been active in the Cordoba countryside since 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., while the Sierra, Pedroches and Subbéticas regions reach 40 degrees at the same time.
