10 arrested for drug trafficking at an electronic music festival in Barcelona

An electronic music festival in Barcelona has ended with 10 arrested for drug trafficking. During a security operation last Sunday, Mossos d'Esquadra agents detected several people with a suspicious attitude, who approached other groups, interacted briefly and quickly left.

The police followed them and observed how they exchanged drugs. One of the arrests was made when two men approached a plainclothes patrol to offer them drugs. The agents were inside the premises and told them that they could sell them crystal, cocaine, ketamine and other narcotics. The agents identified themselves and found several substances and money on them.

In another performance, two people were arrested who were handling narcotic substances inside their vehicle, parked near the festival area. During the search they found different types of drugs and money in the vehicle.

The device ended with the arrest of ten people as alleged perpetrators of the crime against public health for drug trafficking. About 40 people were identified and nine complaints were filed for possession of narcotic substances. 2,800 euros in cash and various drugs such as ecstasy, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana were seized.

Those arrested have been brought to justice. The Mossos have highlighted the collaboration of the festival organizers, who allowed the event to be held with the maximum security guarantees.
