Marvel's Blade has been another of the big announcements of The Game Awards 2023. The French studio Arkane, owned by Microsoft, has announced a new game based on Marvel's iconic vampire hunter. It is a third-person action title for a single player.
The teaser trailer shows a barbershop in central Paris, where a barber delicately shaves one of his clients. The barber cuts his finger with the blade and the smell of blood activates the client's instincts. But don't worry, the client is Blade, a vampire hunter who has moved to the French capital to put an end to a supernatural threat.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Blade (aka Eric Brooks) is half-human and half-vampire. This means that he can expose himself to sunlight without dying in the attempt. And he dedicates his life to fighting vampires and other supernatural threats.
Many fans expected Arkane to announce Dishonored 3, since a few months ago it was leaked that the game was in development. But the French studio has surprised everyone with this announcement. Marvel's Blade is still in an early stage of development and it is unknown when it will be published.
