Google bets on AI to reinvent Chromebook Plus laptops

Google wants to reinvent its Chromebook Plus laptops, a model that until now was designed for domestic use that was not too demanding and at an affordable price. In its new range of computers, the technology giant will integrate all Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities with improvements to optimize hardware and software performance, as well as new customization functions in ChromeOS.

Beyond the advantages of its AI, the company notes that its goal is to offer users an improved 'end-to-end' laptop experience, with new functions and better features, while at the same time it has emphasized making the laptops a "more accessible" device with increased performance.

The new family of Chromebook Plus, manufactured thanks to the alliance that Google maintains with Acer, Asus and HP in Spain, include a new platform with integrated AI that, according to the company, is capable of satisfying all the needs of users "in one way that only Google can do." We will see this technology, for example, in the Photos application, where a Magic Eraser will be included.

The multinational will soon integrate the writing assistant tool to write correctly in any application that requires text, such as X (Twitter), sending messages or writing an article. Everything that makes the user's work easier.

Google has also improved the hardware of the Chromebook Plus, as they have doubled them compared to their previous model. Additionally, all Chromebook Plus computers feature 12th generation Intel Core i3 or later and AMD Ryzen 3 7000 series or later processors.

In addition, the technology giant has doubled the RAM capacity, with 8GB expandable, and they have added 128GB expandable storage.

With the new ChromeOS software, the company has referred to all the potential that users will be able to take advantage of to carry out their work or creative tasks thanks to the fact that the applications "work better than ever." Above all, in reference to integrated Google applications and other external applications.

Google has announced that the new Chromebook Plus will be launched on October 9 worldwide. Specifically, in Spain the Chromebook Plus will be marketed with Acer, Asus and HP. All of them with a price of 449 euros.
