The Lakers return to the path of victory against the Clippers and Curry signs another zero in triples

The Lakers return to the path of victory. The start of the new year has been good for Darvin Ham's team, after this morning they achieved their first win of 2024, beating the Clippers at the Staples Center (106-103). LeBron James' team thus ends a negative streak of four games without winning, although it remains tenth in the West with a balance of 18-19.

'King James' was once again the leader of the locals in the Los Angeles derby. The four-time NBA champion, just turned 39, scored 25 points and added seven assists and eight rebounds to his personal tally. In addition, he gave away the poster of the day, dunking a Paul George who could only watch as the '23' headed to the basket, while scoring with rage.

A play that shows how LeBron James puts the team on his back in extreme situations. As Anthony Davis also did this Monday, he did not slow down the pace of the American power forward, scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds, in the Lakers' victory against their neighbors. Neither Paul George (22 digits) nor Kawhi Leonard (15) could do anything to avoid the Clippers' thirteenth defeat in the league.

The Golden State Warriors are not lifting their heads. Steve Kerr's team suffered another setback in the NBA this morning, after losing to the Raptors on a night in which Curry was once again left dry from the perimeter (118-133). There are already two games in less than a month in which the American star has gone this season without scoring three in a game.

The first time that the Bay's '30' was kept scoreless this season from long distance was on December 17, against the Portland Trail Blazers. That night the Warriors were able to take the victory (110-106). A different outcome than last night in which those from San Francisco sealed a new K.O in the regular competition, in which they are placed eleventh in the West (17-19).

Curry settled for nine points against the Raptors in the 30 minutes he was on the court. Some figures that were inappropriate for him and that were far from the 25 scored by Klay Thompson or the 21 by Moses Moody. Shooting guard RJ Barrett was the visitors' top star, scoring 37 figures, his highest this season. All in all, Darko Rajakovic's men are eleventh in the Western Conference with a record of 15-21.

Finally, the Wembanyama Spurs succumbed to the Cavaliers, marking the Texans' 30th loss so far in the league (117-115). Jarrett Allen, with 29 points and 16 rebounds, led Cleveland against San Antonio. The French prodigy only had 24 points, three assists and 10 rebounds. The Spurs are already the worst team in the West and the second worst in the NBA with only a better balance than the Detroit Pistons.
