The Barcelona driver Josep Maria Pepe Martí is a prophet in his land in Formula 3. The 17-year-old -he will turn 18 in 10 days- scored his first victory at home, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, against Colapinto, Beganovic and Bortoleto, his great rival for the title.
With this third victory -the previous two were in a short race (reverse grid)-, Pepe Martí rises to second place in the Formula 3 world championship.
The driver, sponsored by Fernando Alonso at A14 Management, and a member of the Campos Racing team, had achieved pole position on Saturday. His progression is being meteoric, in his third year in single-seaters and second in F3. In this, his second course, he had won in Bahrain and Monaco, last week.
