Loquillo has always been linked to basketball since he was a player for clubs such as CD Layetano, Cotonificio de Badalona and the Alpe school, where he met Juan Antonio San Epifiano 'Epi' and came to be coached by Aíto García Reneses. This is his second foray into sports patronage after sponsoring EASO Basket in San Sebastián in 2012.
