Last Friday Radio Monte-Carlo (RMC) was the first to reveal the possibility that Ousmane Dembélé (26 years old) signed for PSG. Still no one there gave credit that this possibility was real. At Barça it was seen as a movement to put pressure on the renewal that was being negotiated in recent weeks. Three days later, in Paris, everyone is clear that the winger will play in France next year.
"It is the moment of money for Ousmane Dembélé", assures RMC today. “The Barcelona striker has a termination clause of 50 million euros, but he expires on the afternoon of this Monday, July 31. Beyond that, the price will double. If PSG want him at this price, he will have to act fast. The next few hours will be decisive, but the world champion is still close to Paris”.
L'Equipe, for its part, assures in its digital edition that the arrival of Dembélé "is imminent" and only fringes are missing for it to be a fact. These fringes would be the payment of the clause in the League by the player's representative, who would be one of the great beneficiaries of the operation.
Others, like Fabrizio Romano, assured yesterday that the player had said 'yes' to PSG and would have reached a verbal agreement to sign for the Parisian club for the next five seasons. After them, according to Romano, PSG sent a formal letter to inform Barcelona, trying to close the deal in the best way.
