Formula 1 | Las Vegas GP: schedule and where to watch the classification and the F1 race on TV

The Formula 1 World Championship reaches the final stretch. This weekend the penultimate event of the championship takes place in a place that has focused all eyes: Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Strip circuit is the third in Yankee territory that appears on this season's calendar, and no, it is not the first time that it has hosted the 'great circus', because previously Formula 1 had already held races in "the City of Sin."

Although the 'top 3' of the drivers' world championship is well defined, after Max Verstappen won his third title in Qatar, the fight between the Spanish drivers for fourth place in the classification is still alive.

Sergio Pérez remains second with 258 points and Lewis Hamilton is third with 226. He has a 28-point advantage over Fernando Alonso, who had the goal of finishing the world championship ahead of his former teammate, and who with 198 points is fighting against his compatriot Carlos Sainz for maintaining this place since only three points separate them.

Las Vegas hosted two Formula 1 races under the name Caesars Palace Grand Prix in 1981 and 1982. Alan Jones won the first of these events aboard his Williams and Michele Alboreto on the second occasion. That race was special for him and his team, Tyrrell, as it was the first victory for both of them. In both grand prix, the drivers who became world champions in those years, Nelson Piquet and Keke Rosberg, did so on that circuit and both finished in fifth position.

The circuit is urban and has 6.2km, 17 curves and passes iconic places such as Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian. So seeing a Formula 1 car pass at high speed through the streets where these legendary casinos are located is an image that most hope to capture.
