Ducati CEO describes Marc Márquez as “dangerous”

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, expects a lot from Marc Márquez but also believes that he can pose a problem for his team. In an interview with the newspaper Marca he analyzed the good and not so good things about the signing of the man from Cervera.

The president of Motor Valley Development, an association that brings together all two and four-wheeled brands in the motor land of Emilia-Romagna, hopes that the six-time MotoGP world champion will improve the competitive level of his motorcycles and the rest of pilots. "I think that Pecco Bagnaia, Jorge Martín or Marco Bezzecchi will be able to improve by seeing how Márquez drives, because we have the philosophy that all data is shared. So, surely, he will go very strong. If I see the difference that he makes compared to to the other Honda riders, I think he will be very strong next year. He will be a candidate for victory, for the title; for sure," he explained.

Of course, it is clear that it will not be easy to deal with Márquez's ambition. “All the fans want to see Marc on a Ducati, but for us it will be complicated. It will be complicated, it will create confusion. What we hope is that they will be sports races without accidents. I don't really like contact, because it is dangerous. From time to time, Márquez is a little bit. Jorge Martín was also a little bit like that in the last race. Marc had a very bad accident and it was Martín who caused the accident. It was dangerous. In racing there is a limit and you have to be attentive to the limit," he reflected.

What Domenicali is clear about is that "Márquez will annoy everyone, for sure. Also within Ducati, he will surely do so. Like Jorge Martín. Bagnaia or Bastianini will not only have 'Martinator' or Bezzecchi, or Di Giannantonio, who is now leaving very strong. They will also have Marc. So, with one more to beat, it will create more confusion. It will be more difficult to beat him, but also more interesting for all the fans."
