Curry decides for the Warriors and the Lakers and the Wembanyama Spurs bite the dust

This morning's NBA day left several notes worth highlighting. The performance of Stephen Curry with a stellar performance in the last quarter against the Houston Rockets, the victory of the Sacramento Kings against the Lakers (132-127) or the KO of the Wembanyama Spurs against the Clippers (123-83) has been this Sunday the highlight of the night.

Also the undefeated Denver Nuggets, with three wins out of three possible this season and the substitution of Chris Paul who, at 38 years old, played his first game coming off the bench, after playing more than 1,000 games in the North American league.

The Golden State Warriors star led Steve Kerr's team to victory against the Houston Rockets at the Toyo Center (95-106). Stephen Curry gave 24 points, six assists and seven rebounds to his teammates at the end of the game, but his performance on the hardwood especially shone in the fourth quarter.

The American point guard scored 14 total points and four triples during this period and elevated the Warriors' game to another level, parallel to Klay Thompson. The Californian forward managed to score 19 points against the Rockets and became the tenth player with the most triples in the NBA, reaching 2,223 hits from the perimeter, surpassing Jamal Crawford with 2,221.

Another aspect to highlight in Warriors key was the substitution of Chris Paul who played his first game as a substitute at the age of 38, after 18 seasons in the competition and with 1,365 games played under his belt. The Rockets' most outstanding player was Jalen Green, who could not achieve victory for his team, despite his 21 points and nine rebounds.

This morning Darvin Ham's team suffered the second defeat of the season against the Sacramento Kings (132-127) and the victory against the Phoenix Suns on the second day of the league prevents the Lakers from having a partial 0-3, after the first week in the NBA.

LeBron James, who celebrated his 20th anniversary in the competition, could not do anything despite his 27 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists. Nor the basketball of Anthony Davis, who was the best of the Angelenos, reaching 30 points.

Likewise, De'Aaron Fox led the Sacramento Kings with 37 points and 8 assists, despite finishing the game limping. Additionally, Malik Monk's performance in overtime was a momentous 'extra' for Mike Brown, as he scored 11 of his team's 17 points in overtime.

Victor Wembanyama couldn't beat the Clippers in his first appearance in Los Angeles. The Spurs suffered their second knockout of the season this Sunday, as did the Lakers. The French player, who is being the revelation of the NBA, scored 11 points and got two assists at the Crypto.com Arena. The 2.24 meter power forward was just one point behind his team's top scorer, Macedonian Cedi Osman, with 11.

Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Russell Westbrook scored more than 10 points for the Angelenos and were the main protagonists in giving the Clippers a victory with a margin of 40 points (123-83).

Other events to highlight from the last day of the NBA are the victory of the Denver Nuggets, who remain undefeated with three wins out of three possible, at the start of the season. The last one was against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jokic had 28 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists, spending only 30 minutes on the court.

On the other hand, the poor performance of Damian Lillard (6 points and 2 of 12 in field goals) with the Milwaukee Bucks against the Atlanta Hawks (110-127) and Joel Embiid's 35 points against the Portland Trail Blazers has been one of the most popular things this last morning. However, Chauncey Billups' men did not win against the Philadelphia 76ers (126-98)
