'Barça One', the new streaming platform of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona has a new television channel after the disappearance of Barça TV on June 30. The club has announced that it will soon launch 'Barça One', a streaming platform with all Barça content. The channel's first program will be a documentary about first team footballer Ronald Araujo.

'Barça One' will be a free access platform, with advertising, and which can be accessed without registering. However, there will also be a payment option, in which no ads will be displayed. FC Barcelona members, however, will have free access to this second option.

The platform will offer 1,500 hours of video, with content similar to that of the defunct Barça TV (current and historical matches, reports, interviews, programs...). In addition, 'Barça One' will include a new programming offering with all the latest Barça news through press conferences, live programs and original productions.

With this new streaming platform, the club seeks to increase its income throughout the world and spread the 'Barça brand' internationally. Likewise, 'Barça One' will be more profitable than Barça TV, since the old television channel cost the Catalan entity 14 million euros annually.

The first program, which will be presented to the media this Wednesday at the Espai Texas in Barcelona, will be Orígenes | Araujo, a documentary about the Uruguayan center back. The work, lasting 40 minutes, narrates the path of the Barça player from his beginnings in his homeland to his arrival in Barcelona in 2018.
