Ayuso and Tebas clash over the Super League

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the president of LaLiga Javier Tebas, have clashed on the social network X because of their difference of opinions about the Super League project.

This curious dispute began when the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled in favor of the Super League and against UEFA. Given this resolution, Ayuso did not hesitate to congratulate Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez, the main promoter of this initiative. "I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Real Madrid, since today it has had great success in seeing the green light from the European Justice for the Super League. And I want to congratulate Florentino Pérez for the work he has also done in these years for this new success,” said Ayuso.

In response to these statements, Javier Tebas responded through his official "I agree with this congratulation, nor do I agree with LaLiga that I preside over."

Far from rectifying, Ayuso responded to the message by harshly attacking the president of LaLiga. "Free competition was always better than monopolies. This new competition will revolutionize football. Time will prove it right," replied the president of the Community of Madrid.

To end this fight, Tebas once again went to his social networks to, once again, respond to Ayuso, charging against the possible existence of the Super League: "President, and the oligopolies that destroy medium and small businesses as well, and The Super League would destroy Spanish professional football and I'm not saying it, I'm not saying it, the clubs themselves say it practically unanimously, those of their community and those of the rest of Spain and these clubs will know something, don't you think?"
