Vox rectifies and votes in favor of the PP tax reductions in the Valencia City Council

The Finance Commission of the Valencia City Council has just approved a modification of the tax ordinances that will allow the IBI to be reduced by 20% as well as a 95% discount on the capital gains tax due to death between spouses, ascendants and descendants. The proposal presented last week by the councilor, María José Ferrer San Segundo, had the (necessary) votes of Vox despite the fact that her spokesperson had threatened not to vote for it. Compromís and PSPV, who had been against a reduction that "would benefit the highest incomes," have kept their word and voted against.

"If they do not want our participation in the preparation of the ordinances and in the governance of the City Council, they will not count on our votes either," declared the leader of Vox in the council, Juanma Badenas, as soon as the Popular Party's proposal became known.

Measures that will also mean an 8.5% reduction in the road tax and a reduction in the sewage rate.

This agreement comes after yesterday there was a meeting attended by the mayor of València, María José Catalá, and the councilor for Large Projects, José Marí Olano, on behalf of the PP, and the spokesperson for Vox and the national deputy and provincial president of the formation, Ignacio Gil Lázaro. A meeting that served to unblock the approval of the new ordinance.
