The PP demands the resignation of the attorney general after the appointment of Dolores Delgado

The PP did not let a minute go by after the appointment of Dolores Delgado as prosecutor of the Chamber of Democratic Memory and Human Rights, by the State Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, to request her resignation and denounce "the great finger" and the politicization that of Justice is being carried out by the Government, considering it "a very serious conduct", since the Fiscal Council had rejected the appointment.

The Secretary of Justice of the PP, María Jesús Moro, considers that the call of the Fiscal Council for an appointment on the eve of the celebration of general elections is an unprecedented decision in democracy and criticized that, for the second time, the State Attorney General has benefited "her friend" Dolores Delgado, for a position of these characteristics, as she already did when she was appointed prosecutor of the Military Jurisdiction Chamber.

For the PP it is incomprehensible that Ortiz "has consummated this outrage against the majority of the prosecutor's office. because the PP will not make this type of appointment when it reaches the Government”.

In her opinion of the popular leader, the appointment of Delgado against the criteria of the Fiscal Council "is a lack of respect for the institutions, a discredit of the Prosecutor's Office and an attack against the rule of law because this appointment implies absolute contempt for the basic rules of democracy".

And it is that, according to the Secretary of Justice of the PP, with this appointment there is also a contempt for the professionals who had presented their candidacy under professional parameters and not political and cronyism, as has happened in the case of the former attorney general .

María Jesús Moro stressed that this designation is, unfortunately, one more example of the politicization and intervention of the "house brand of sanchismo" institutions, which in her opinion "the Government has exercised in this legislature and that the Spaniards will banish from of next July 23".
