The bulls return to Valencia today after the change of government in the City Council

The bulls return to the city of Valencia seven years after the Government of Compromís and PSPV prohibited their celebration. It will be in the district of Carpesa where this noon a first event will be held with "cows and bulls on point" at 1:00 p.m. and three bulls bulled at night. Next Saturday, there will be a similar program with more bulls bullfighting.

This program of celebrations has been possible after, at the beginning of September, the new Valencia City Council (governed by the PP) will revoke the agreement of the Government Board of June 10, 2016 that prohibited the authorization of the 'bous al carrer' in the districts of the city.

As had been agreed, the Federation of Bous al Carrer of the Valencian Community had previously withdrawn, after reaching the agreement with the new government team, the contentious administrative appeal that it had filed against the order issued by the then municipal executive, led by Joan Ribó, which prevented the celebration of bullfighting festivities in the cap i casal.

After this announcement, the bullfighting bull of the bullfighting club El Carpesano is the first to be celebrated, but it will not be the only one. The Penya Ferrage of Borbotó (another district of the city) has already announced its intention to hold events with bous embolats on three consecutive weekends in October (the 7th, 14th and 21st).
