A wedding ceremony attended by around five thousand people was held on Sunday at the Nurul Iman Palace, the Sultan's residence and seat of the Asian country's government. It was then that the groom's father placed the prince's hand on the bride's forehead as an official symbol of union. The palace itself, which has more than 1,700 rooms, was the scene of the subsequent wedding banquet, attended by some members of royalty such as King Jigme and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan or King Abdullah and Queen Azizah of Malaysia, among others.

But Prince Mateen, who is the most visible member of the royal family, due to his spread on Instagram and because he is considered the most coveted bachelor in Asia, has put the absolutist Islamic sultanate, rich in oil, back on the map.
On the part of the groom, there were some Argentine guests, since, as a great fan, he invited his teammates Pablo Mac, Tomás Gándara, and her husband, also a policeman, Lucas Fernández.
