Summit at the Aznar ranch

The estate of Quintos de Mora (Toledo), which has been part of the State Heritage since 1942, must have something of an initiative, because all the presidents of the Spanish Government have held important meetings there. Felipe González convinced Baltasar Garzón to join his cause. José María Aznar was cited with George W. Bush, Jacques Chirac and Tony Blair when the United States accused Iraq of having weapons of mass destruction and supporting terrorism. Mariano Rajoy was elected as Aznar's successor in the estate. José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero used it to meet the Brazilian Luiz Inácio Lula. And Pedro Sánchez, in addition to holding some Council of Ministers, has assembled his team to rearm at each start of the legislature. The last one, last Saturday. Bush used to call the estate "the Aznar ranch", which has remained a rumor.

At this weekend's summit in Quintos de Mora, three issues were addressed: the central Government's agenda, the moral rearmament of the Executive and the need to tie independenceists and Podemites together so as not to give the impression of improvisation constant and unexpected concessions in Congress. Sánchez made it clear that it is necessary to assume political plurality and territorial diversity in order to govern, as is the case in many European states. And that is why it will be necessary to dialogue and negotiate until exhaustion, although without conveying the feeling that their arm is being bent.

The problem is that the tensions between JxCat and ERC and the bad relationship between Sumar and Podemos are two difficult obstacles to overcome. Minister Félix Bolaños, with his Peter Parker (Spiderman) appearance and the same ability to perceive threats precognitively, will be dedicated to this task. Like him, he looks like a friendly neighbor who treasures superpowers: as he says in one of the Marvel comics, “with great power comes great responsibility; this is my gift and my curse”. After his dialogue with the Generalitat, Bolaños takes control of the negotiations with Podemos. At the Sánchez ranch, before Aznar, the minister has become the foreman, even though he knows he will be shot.
