The PP will ask that the amnesty vote for those accused of the pro-independence process be done by voice vote, so that the PSOE deputies have to show their face. It is not usual in the processing of laws, but, in accordance with the regulations of the Congress, if two parties or a fifth of the deputies request it, the vote will be carried out out loud. The reason? Cuca Gamarra, the general secretary of the Popular Party, said it bluntly: they are requesting it so that everyone can see that they are complicit in the decision to approve the clemency measure. According to his opinion, the law, if it goes ahead as it seems, will be an electoral fraud because the socialists denied it just before the elections.

The spokeswoman for the Spanish Government, Pilar Alegría, replied that the PP wants some socialist deputy to vote against it, which will not happen. According to her, the law will go ahead with 178 votes, because everyone believes it will be a good measure. The PP already tried to seek divisions in the PSOE by trying to prevent the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. One of the politicians who had to endure the most pressure was the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, refractory to the amnesty, but who refused to influence the eight deputies of his autonomous community out of loyalty to the party .

Surely, Gamarra has read Haruki Murakami, who has written about the inner voice and public verbalization: “It is always better for people to speak face to face, with their hearts in their hands; otherwise, misunderstandings end up arising". But what our heart tells us is one thing and what our head tells us is another. And a party cannot be an uncontrolled orchestra, but a disciplined orchestra. Another question is to what extent the debates within these organizations are conditioned or not free enough.

Politics is like tango, it is not enough to have a melodious voice to sing in public. With more or less desire, the socialist deputies will vote as one man even if they disagree. Carlos Gardel proclaimed that tango must be heard, like politics; in one case, to take away the applause, in the other, to tie down the power.
