King Juan Carlos navigates the Pontevedra estuary

Smiling and talkative, at least with the boys from the sailing school that King Juan Carlos met this morning upon his arrival at the jetty where the 'Bribón' was waiting for him with whom he went sailing this Thursday in the waters of the Pontevedra estuary. The King's father who arrived in Sanxenxo yesterday, on his third visit to Spain since he decided to go into self-exile in Abu Dhabi almost three years ago, has spent the first hours of his stay in the Galician town at the home of his friend Pedro Campos, who hosts, as in his two previous visits to Spain.

The intention of the King's father is to remain in Galicia until next Monday and try to go unnoticed, at least, as far as he is concerned, not attract attention. That is the commitment with his son, the King, who yesterday began, after completing the audiences with the Balearic authorities, went to the Porto Pi naval base where he boarded an inflatable boat accompanied by a group of friends to spend the day at sea aboard a pleasure sailboat

Fulfilling his purpose of discretion and with the intention of trying to pass, if not unnoticed, at least without him being the one who attracts attention, King Juan Carlos has arrived at the facilities of the Sanxenxo Yacht Club in Pedro Campos' car with the that has been directed following the dike to where the 'Bribón' was moored.

A large group of tourists of the thousands who spend their vacations in the area these days had gathered on the road, but King Juan Carlos barely waved his hand or, at most, joined the two in sign of thanks. Already on the pier, before going down the stairs to the water, there was a group of young people whom he greeted and with whom he was seen talking animatedly.

With difficulty, but with apparent good spirits, he has boarded the 'Bribón' and, towed by a spear, has headed towards the open sea. His intention is to measure the sailboat again and train today, to participate in the Spanish Cup of the 6M category from Friday to Saturday. King Juan Carlos also plans to remain in Galicia on Monday to continue training with the aim of revalidating the title of world champion in the event that will be held at the end of August on the Isle of Wight.
