Under the motto Let's grow in culture, the La Caixa Foundation is launching a season that, from art and science, wants to connect with the concerns of today's world through 34 shows, of which 10 are premieres, which they will run through the network of CaixaForum and CosmoCaixa centres. Many have already been seen (Elisa Durán, deputy general director of the Foundation, is confident that they will close this 2023 with 4.5 million visitors) and in the coming months they will be moving around the different headquarters. All are own productions or co-productions with major centers such as the British, the Pompidou, the Cinémathèque Française or the Prado, whose director, Miguel Falomir, recalled yesterday that thanks to this alliance the art gallery has managed to have a presence throughout Spain. And he announced two future projects: botany in the works of the Prado and Rubens.

“Art and nature”

“Interior Berlanga”

The man and the filmmaker stand in front of the camera

Brilliant director and screenwriter, Luis García Berlanga (Valencia, 1921-Madrid, 2010) was also one of the best chroniclers of Spain's recent past. The author of films such as ¡ will now be the protagonist of Interior Berlanga (from July 16 to November 3), which will reveal previously unseen aspects of both his work and his life. The premiere will take place in March in Valencia and will bring to light the 72 so far never opened boxes that the filmmaker left at his home. Inside, 56 unpublished scripts, teenage love letters, poems, reflections on the war... "It's a very intimate Berlanga and different from what is known", according to his son, the cook and also filmmaker José Luis García Berlanga.

"Dinosaurs of Patagonia"

The biggest creature on the planet

Called Patagothian mayorum, it was discovered by chance by a farmer and is the largest dinosaur known to date. Star of the season at CosmoCaixa (from October 25 to June 2), he will not be alone.
