Felipe González describes Puigdemont's position in the negotiations as “nonsense, like him”

The former president of the Government Felipe González has described the position of the independence leader Carles Puigdemont in the negotiations for the investiture of Pedro Sánchez as “nonsense, like him.”

The socialist has criticized the Junts proposals before participating in an event in Asturias, this Thursday, stating that, in his opinion, "education from zero to three years is the most important of everything that is included in that pact", which he added: “I just hope they do a financing study.”

González has also joked about the "brutal success" in the number of participants in the consultation of the Consell de la República to block the investiture of the acting president of the government. "4% of all those consulted have participated," he concluded.

74.9% of those who participated in the consultation were in favor of the measure proposed by the Consell, with the question; “Should the Council of the Republic promote the blockade of the investiture of the president in Spain by the Catalan independence parties?” But participation in the non-binding issue remained at 4% of the entity's nearly 90,000 members.
