Feijóo will review every law in which Bildu was decisive

Alberto Núñez Feijóo took part yesterday in an informative breakfast organized by Forum Europa in which he revealed what his government would look like and what it will do if it wins the elections on July 23. The leader of the PP stated that one of the main priorities will be to review the laws "one by one" of the coalition Executive of the PSOE and Unides Podemos in which EH Bildu was decisive.

Feijóo focused his speech on the key of Prime Minister, rather than a candidate, to send a message to the attendees of what his government will be, if it reaches Moncloa. He explained what policies he offers with the change advocated by the PP, in an attempt to reassure all sectors and which he summarized in three words: "certainties, moderation and stability".

The president of the PP stated the first ten measures that his government will adopt if he is elected president, ranging from the lowering of taxes to the revision of the laws in which EH Bildu has been decisive for their approval. For this reason, he committed to "review one by one the laws in which the vote of the Otegi party has been decisive to check if they are in line with the Constitution. Then it would be decided what to do.

The change, he assured, would be seen from the beginning because it would already affect the constitution of his possible government, which does not expect it to have 22 ministries, like Sánchez's, but many fewer, which is why "the Spanish will pay less for their government" .

The possible executive of the PP if he wins the elections will make an effort to be transparent and, according to Feijóo, he will explain the public accounts, not only of the central administration, but also the local and autonomous ones, as well as those of the Social Security. And he would also apply a measure that he has been asking for for some time: to lower the personal income tax from 2023 on middle and low incomes, to compensate for inflation.

His plans also include reforming the Penal Code in two matters he considers a priority: sedition would become a crime again, and he wants to recover the penalties for embezzlement that were lowered in December in exchange for ERC's support for the general budgets of the ' Status. More calmly, but within a hundred days, the future government of Feijóo undertakes to approve "an organic law of the Judiciary that guarantees the independence of the Council" and that of judges and prosecutors.

The president of the PP has been forced to introduce among his priorities an unequivocal defense of his government with policies in favor of women and in the fight against gender violence, and for this reason he proclaimed that in the matter of "violence sexist, not a step back", because "it wouldn't even occur to me to deny it or make laws that would not protect women". Darts to one side and the other to emphasize that he will not be dragged down by Vox, but neither by the current government that has nothing to brag about. That's why he assured that "neither laws like the only yes is yes, nor will we deny or stop fighting against gender violence".

The last two points are to convene a Conference of Presidents to address three issues: European funds, water policy and regional funding; and face the European presidency "as a matter of State", so that I will not "hide it from the leader of the opposition".
