Company and unions ask the future Consell to "recognize and maintain social dialogue"

Company and unions with representation in the Valencian Community understand the change of political color in the government for having been a "national key" vote. And this political transformation also translates into a demand, common to companies and unions: that social dialogue be maintained.

The economic agents of the territory, who have worked side by side since the Alcem-nos agreement, defend it that way. This is the case of the president of the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV), Salvador Navarro, who calls for a government that guarantees "a scenario of stability" and which he asks to "respect, recognize and promote social dialogue and all the agreements reached thanks to him". Navarro also pointed out that "our commitment to companies and associations obliges us to remind them that politics must be at the service of the economy and society and I hope that we all work in that direction".

The two majority unions, CCOO-PV and UGT-PV, also direct the focus on social dialogue, a formation that is convinced that this is "an opportunity and an obligation". The formation directed by Ismael Sáez in the Valencian Community values the achievements of the Botànic - "it has successfully overcome the crisis of the pandemic, inflation and its effects after the war in Ukraine with social dialogue..." -, but remember that Even with that, the majority of Valencian citizens "have withdrawn their support" for the progressive project.

For her part, the general secretary of CCOO-PV, Ana García Alcolea, demands that "everything that has been done, all those advances that have been achieved for the majority of society, for job creation, the implementation of companies in our autonomous community" and has insisted, once again, on the importance of the social agreement.

In a more critical tone, the CEV asks the new Valencian Executive that came out of the polls to get to work "immediately" so that this region "has the weight, influence and financing that corresponds to it". Yesterday the president of the hotel management association Hosbec, integrated into the CEV, who hopes that the change of government will mean the repeal of the tourist tax.

This was confirmed yesterday in an interview with Cadena Ser by its president, Fede Fuster, who recalled that it was "a commitment" from the popular candidate for the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón. "The current fiscal policy is unsustainable and I know that the reform of the Popular Party program is fairer," Fuster said yesterday.

On the other hand, given the (surprising) electoral advance announced by Pedro Sánchez yesterday, the president of the businessmen Salvador Navarro asked that a new electoral campaign not paralyze decision-making that "are urgent for our economy, since we continue with Pertes paralyzed, the aid to the productive fabric continues without arriving, the bureaucracy continues to grow, and meanwhile the countries with which we compete continue to gain ground ”, he recalled yesterday.
