Bárbara Rey and her children, on trial

This year is being intense for Bárbara Rey, who has decided to explain everything that had been silent for years through different appearances in the media that have not gone unnoticed. It was the case of his docuseries Una vida Bárbara or his participation in Risto Mejide's program Viajando con Chester. The star was more honest than ever explaining the beatings she received from her husband Ángel Cristo, who even went so far as to shoot her. She also narrated the abuse suffered at the hands of her mother during childhood, and revealed the secrets of her relationship with the king emeritus, John Charles I, whom she recorded and with whom she was recorded while they were lovers: "The the king has told me state secrets", he confessed.

Now the actress is back in the news due to problems with justice that she shares with her two children Sofia and Ángel, her sister and three other people. The Madrid Provincial Prosecutor's Office is asking for three and a half years in prison for the popular artist for a crime of embezzlement through which she allegedly tried to evade the payment of a debt with the Tax Agency from 2011 The Provincial Court of Madrid had set the trial for next Monday, but finally the hearing has been suspended because one of the accused is in an unknown whereabouts.

According to the indictment, Bárbara Rey acted in collusion with several family members "with the aim of avoiding the aforementioned responsibility for payment and frustrating the legitimate expectations of collection" of the Tax Agency for a sum of 143,902, 24 euros. He agreed with the rest of the defendants to undertake an asset disposal plan with the aim of "creating the bankruptcy of the debts contracted and making it impossible for their rightful owners to collect them".

In addition to the three and a half years in prison for the main accused, the Prosecutor's Office is asking for a fine of 7,200 euros and demanding the absolute nullity of all the transmission operations carried out. For the rest of the participants, the public ministry reduced their sentence request to two and a half years in prison and a 5,400 euro fine.

The facts go back to May 10, 2011 when the Treasury began to carry out an inspection on Bárbara Rey in relation to the payment of personal income tax for the fiscal periods between 2006 and 2008, according to the prosecutor's account. The resulting acts demanded the payment of 135,031 and 131,568 euros, corresponding to the personal income tax of 2006 and 2007. The actress was given a period of voluntary income until March 20, 2013.

"Knowing that the investigation tasks of the Treasury had begun, the defendant, with the intention of evading the aforementioned payment responsibility, contacted several relatives to act in collusion and carry out acts of asset disposition with the purpose of generating the bankruptcy of the debts contracted", the Prosecutor's Office points out.

The prosecutor also details that thirteen operations were carried out in which his two sons, his sister and the other defendants participated to cause an apparent insolvency situation.
