Antonia Dell'Atte is back. And, once again, with the halo of being Giorgio Armani's most relevant muse: this is evidenced by the exhibition dedicated to the work of the photographer Aldo Fallai, commissioned by the designer at the Armani Museum/Silos in Milan. Forty years later, the Italian master has chosen her as his image again and her face invades the streets of the Piedmontese capital. His return to television could not be better accompanied: Dell'Atte is a member of the jury of the talent competition Bailando con las estrellas, which has just started on Telecinco. A change of direction in the entertainment of the chain that he is proud to be part of. "I am returning to television and to Telecinco because there is finally a new editorial line, thanks to its new CEO, who has decided to remove the rubbish from his programming and bet on quality". He loves the model that has been claimed for three main reasons: "I believe that I have credibility, dignity and also - I say this with great humility - that I am a person who has failed and who has learned to do television well. And right now Telecinco needs credibility: they have opted for this line and I am very happy about it. I never looked for success or to be famous either yes or no. If they ask me what I want in this life, I answer work and health, essence and not appearance".
Antonia points out that she has been called countless times to participate in television sets, but she has preferred to stay away: "Silence is part of a person's intimacy and with silence you can heal your soul. If you've barely seen me on TV, it's because I didn't want to be part of anything that I've never been recognized for: crap television. I come from fashion and entertainment, a world that has nothing to do with all that. I think I am well-known in Spain because I have always fought for the dignity of women, which is why I am alien to this kind of television and press that I have denounced and described as a sewer. There is a certain type of communication that is garbage, that distorts and manipulates by selling lies that pass off as truth. They invent everything!".
That's why she hasn't answered the calls that summoned her to the set. He wanted to get away from it. "I have never sold my private life, it is different to explain what I have suffered, more than 33 years of injustice, but I think I am the only model in the world who has not commercialized her intimate life. When I have spoken in a medium it has only been to tell my truth, never to talk about others. And so I saw that I was being dragged where I didn't want to go, I left. I asked God for forgiveness and He told me: "Turn away, divine justice will come".
Antonia believes that little by little she is beginning to reap the fruits of her prudence. “When I went to court, a judge finally ruled in my favor and restored the truth. I was the first to report abuse and they know it, they knew it and kept quiet! Now the same pseudo-journalists call me to apologize and tell me that they could not speak, when they have been complicit in a diabolical plan that wanted to destroy my person and my work. Now they have the opportunity to correct themselves and to repent, not before me, but before God. I have forgiven them. After María Teresa Campos died, someone came to tell me that they wanted to ask for forgiveness. She is forgiven. Look, even my colleague Boris Izaguirre has apologized for the trap that the Lazos de sangre program was.”
Finally, Antonia differentiates this junk press from the pink press: "The heart is entertainment, lightness, without bad intent. Interviews in which beautiful things are explained, you show your home, how you live... Hopefully a generation will come back to rescue the heart that was made before, a change is needed”.
