There has been no script twist and all the parliamentary groups except that of the PSPV have approved this Thursday the creation of an investigation into "possible irregular financing of the PSPV or any other" (it is understood which party) in the framework of the Azud case that is investigating Justice. By 68 votes in favor (the sum of the parliamentarians present from PP, Vox, Ciudadanos, Compromís and Unides Podem) and the solitary vote of the Socialists (25), the proposal promoted by the PP trustee, María José Catalá, has been validated in the last plenary session of the legislature.
A commission that will barely have a run because Les Corts dissolve next week to call the regional elections on May 28. Of course, it has had a lot of symbolism and, as the popular ones wanted, they have opened a gap between the government partners.
Yesterday, the deputy and secretary of Organization of the PSPV, José Muñoz made ugly his partners at the Botànic for reaching a "dangerous agreement" with the party that "is the most corrupt" in history and even accused them of weaving "an alliance of interests " to try to "wear down" the PSPV in the face of the elections.
This Thursday, before endorsing his vote in Les Corts, the trustee of Compromís, Papi Robles, has been inflexible and has assured that his party "will always be in favor of investigating" corruption. After reaching an agreement with the PSPV that incorporated the tag "any other" into the object of the commission, Compromís has not hesitated to vote in favor. Of course, he has warned that in the commission's work plan he will propose that the leaders of the PP parade because he considers them protagonists of a case that, now, the popular want to ignore.
For her part, the spokeswoman for Unides Podem, Pilar Lima, has also justified the positive meaning of her vote and has indicated that her coalition will always "support any commission of inquiry".
