A Jofre goal gives Espanyol the three points

Yesterday, Espanyol took the three points from the Anduva stadium against an orderly Mirandés who put up a very serious game in defense, but who barely had any scoring options. Luis García's team was the one that arrived with the most danger without making Luis López, the local goalkeeper, suffer too much. Almost all the perico danger came from the boots of Melamed on the left side. The goal came already in the second half through Jofre.

The clearest opportunity of the first half came very early, in the first minute. A Lazo interning ended in a cross at the second post, where Pere Milla appeared to finish at the post.

With a cross from the field made up of Pol Lozano, Keidi Bare and Melamed, Espanyol managed the game. Mirandés played comfortably at the back and tried to make quick transitions looking for the back of the white-and-blue defense.

Espanyol came close again with a shot from outside the area by Kedi Bare that went over the crossbar and then with a header from Melamed.

The only opportunity for the locals in the first half came in the 41st through Alcedo, who finished with his left and missed Pacheco's goal.

The second half started without a change of players and in the first minute Pol Lozano was charged with a yellow card.

Keidi Bare had the goal in the 54th and his shot, with everything in his favour, was high. Luis García didn't wait any longer and introduced Salvi for Lazo. Immediately it was Pere Milla who was able to open the scoring.

Espanyol had so much control that they ended up scoring in the 57th on a cross shot by Jofre that beat Luis López's pull. Jofre played on loan at Mirandés last season.

Mirandés reacted with a triple change, but the fate of the match did not change. Puado replaced Jofre and the game entered a phase of interruptions. Gragera and Exposito entered. Espanyol did not suffer to retain the victory.
