'Star Wars Jedi: Survivor' surprises with a new trailer focused on the story

A little over a month after its release, Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the new third-person action game set in the famous galactic franchise. The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will go on sale on April 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, and in this new video he focuses on his story.

Jedi Survivor will take place five years after the events of the first installment and, again, will once again have the young Jedi Cal Kestis as its protagonist, who this time will be a more powerful and experienced character. In the new trailer (which can be seen below) familiar faces from the previous adventure appear, combat scenes, as well as new settings or abilities of the protagonist.

"Dark times are coming as Cal Kestis seeks a safe haven far from the reach of the Empire," EA states through a press release. “A more mature Cal Kestis must look beyond his lightsaber to find his destiny in the shadow of the Empire, a quest that will take him to new planets and familiar frontiers in the Star Wars galaxy, including Koboh, which is home to the Bedlam Raiders,” he adds.

As already happened in the original title, the Californian studio Respawn Entertainment (Apex Legends, Titanfall) has once again led a development in which Lucasfilm Games is also involved. Likewise, Stig Asmussen (God of War III) has repeated as game director.

One of the main differences of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor with respect to Fallen Order is that this continuation will not be released for PS4 and Xbox One, but only on the current generation consoles. According to Electronic Arts this decision will make the game "make the most of the current generation consoles."
