War between the Mossos and RansomHouse on the dark web for the dissemination of the Clinic's data

RamsonHouse has returned to the attack and today has made public the data stolen from the Clínic hospital on March 5. He has done it on the same website in the Tor network that the Mossos d'Esquadra knocked down on April 4 through a denial of service (DDoS) attack. Today at 8:13 a.m., the data stolen and leaked in the first instance was available again.

In any case, the data loaded very slowly and right now the hackers' page is down again and the data is inaccessible. According to sources consulted by La Vanguardia -and who prefer to remain anonymous- these indicate that "the RansomHosue page is under constant attack. Someone is monitoring and attacking it, according to the movements made by the hackers." The game of cat and mouse, or a real war between cybercriminals and the Mossos d'Esquadra.

In fact, the RansomHouse website was active again since last Sunday. This page was active again this Sunday, only five days after the DDosS attack by the Catalan police, although then it was not possible to download the data, because the link that led up to them remained inactive. It must be taken into account that with these actions the police not only prevent someone from having access to the Clinic's data, but also all the leaks that hackers have on their website.

DDoS attacks are one of the common techniques used by hackers and consists of trying to make a website or network resource unavailable by flooding it with malicious traffic so that it cannot function properly. The attacker overloads his target with unwanted traffic so that normal traffic does not reach its intended destination.

Until now it was believed that this type of attack was impossible on networks such as Tor that are part of the dark web, but the actions carried out by the Mossos show that these networks are also vulnerable.
