Triumphant return of Sebastián Castella to Madrid

Sebastián Castella is French (specifically from Béziers) with a Spanish father and a Polish mother and when he was very young, the maestro José Antonio Campuzano took him to Seville. There a bullfighter was forged who is celebrating twenty-three years as an alternative, the last three and by his own decision in a retreat in which he exploited other artistic concerns. But this season he decided to return to the ring, although, including Seville, with little echo. Until today.

The afternoon, arriving at the fourth bull, passed by paths of little glory, again with the wind playing against it and the bulls, as well presented and in good condition as lacking in strength, preventing the shortlist from showing off more. But Rociero, which was the name of Jandilla's exemplary, was a waste of bravery and class (José Chacón's cape in the banderillas tercio discovered and strengthened it) and Castella expanded on a task of great intensity, right from the beginning by statuary.

Later, always with the firmness of plants by flag, there were bouts by one and another python with adjustment, temperance and long line that, when they were by the left, they reached excellence, with the bull charging with emotional depth. Las Ventas bellowed like Las Ventas bellows when bullfighting arises, and there sorrows.

For this reason, when after the sword blow entering straight the brave Jandilla rolled at his feet, the square was dyed white and the usía (object of the anger of a part of the fans for his performance in a previous celebration) had no other than remove the two handkerchiefs (the blue one to reward the bull would not have hurt either) that opened the door to glory for Sebastián Castella, the fifth in his record.

José María Manzanares' afternoon was, let's say, adverse. The bullfighter from Alicante made an effort to tame the wind and, in his first, with very little strength, he succeeded at times to fight round with the brand packaging of the house. In his second turn, neither Eolo nor Relojero gave him many options.

Pablo Aguado fights (when circumstances allow and he is inspired) with naturalness, feeling, delicacy and cadence. It was not the case, because neither the weather nor the bulls were up for the job. He tried the veronica and the light cloak was a flag, just as it happened when it came to the crutch. And his disappointment was everyone's.

Manzanares and Aguado have left, to make up for it, another bullfight at the Fair. To Castella too, but he will already carry the joy of triumph in the spur of his soul.
