The Generalitat Firefighters have completed their intervention in the search for the woman who disappeared in Ullastrell (Barcelona) during the rains last Tuesday.

In a tweet, they explained that during this week they have searched for the woman "working on land (GRAE), in the water and from the air (drones and helicopters)", and that no evidence has been found.

Last Wednesday, after the heavy rains, the emergency teams found an SUV with the body of a man inside in a dry stream in the town, in the Can Font area, which was dragged until it ran aground at a point inaccessible from the Gaià stream. Days later, they found pieces of the missing woman's clothing in the area that gave them indications that she was traveling in the car during the storm. The man was a 47-year-old resident of Esplugues, whose disappearance his wife reported the same day as the rains at night.

They began looking for the alleged missing woman on Wednesday after finding the SUV. The tasks of locating the woman were extended the following day in the stream between Viladecavalls and the Llobregat river, until reaching the part of the mouth of the Llobregat, but without success.

The chief of intervention of the Firefighters, Hector Serrat, explained to the media that the water came down with great force and "it was like a centrifuge, so the car was very damaged, just like the body that was inside."
