The rains will arrive this Sunday in the northeast of Catalonia and the south of the Peninsula, also accompanied by storms, and intervals of strong winds that will affect the Canary Islands, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

Specifically, the AEMET has activated the yellow warning for rain from 12:00 to 20:00 in Catalonia, Aragon and the Valencian Community, where storms are also expected to occur.

Cloudy skies are also forecast for this Sunday in the northern third of the peninsula, with some light rains in the eastern Cantabrian Sea, as well as showers and storms in the Pyrenees and the interior of the northeast, which may intensify in the northeast of Catalonia and in the south of the peninsula. .

Likewise, the AEMET does not rule out that early in the morning there will be rains in the Balearic Islands and on the southern coast of Catalonia, as well as in the areas of the eastern mountains of the Peninsula, where cloudiness of diurnal evolution will form, which may be accompanied by a storm

In the Canary Islands, for its part, intervals of low clouds can be seen in the north of the islands, with light rains in those of greater relief, while in the Balearic Islands the haze is not ruled out in the early hours, with a possible tendency to withdraw.

Regarding temperatures, the maximum will rise in the western third of the peninsula and will fall in the rest, moderately in the northeast quadrant and even notably in the Ebro, the Iberian system and the Pyrenees.

The AEMET highlights the probability that the maximum temperatures exceed 30 degrees in the Guadalquivir Valley, specifically, Córdoba, Seville, Granada, while the minimum will experience few changes.

For its part, in the Canary Islands trade winds will blow strong or with strong intervals, while winds from the northeast and north will occur in the Mediterranean area.

Additionally, there may be a west wind at the beginning of Sunday in the area of ​​the Strait, tending to establish an easterly at the end of the day, while there will be a north wind in the Ebro and north wind in the Empordà at the end of Sunday.
