The Civil Guard arrests several people for the three deaths in Guadalajara

The Civil Guard has arrested several people related to the event in Chiloeches (Guadalajara) in which three members of a family, a couple and their daughter, were found dead in their home after a fire with signs of violence.

Sources from the Government Delegation in Castilla-La Mancha have informed EFE that agents of the armed institute have carried out these arrests, although they have not provided further details of their identities or the operation.

The arrests occurred after the bodies of a 52-year-old man, his wife, the same age, and his 22-year-old daughter appeared early this Saturday in the living room of their house in the Medina Azahara urbanization, in Chiloeches, with signs of violence.

Their bodies, which had wounds caused by sharp weapons, were found by firefighters from the Azuqueca de Henares park, when they extinguished the fire that had broken out in the house.

The inhabitants of Chiloeches (Guadalajara) remain shocked by the death of members of this family. "We remain in shock, dismayed by the events that occurred in the early hours of yesterday," said the mayor of the town, Marcos Cascajero, in the minute of silence that took place that Sunday from 12 noon in the town's Plaza Mayor to show the people's rejection of the violent death of these three people.

A hundred neighbors have participated in this minute of silence called by the Chiloeches City Council, which has also decreed two days of official mourning for what happened.

The deceased were not originally from the municipality but had been in the town for more than 20 years, where the deceased young woman had studied, as pointed out by one of the neighbors, whose daughter was her classmate.

"We are bad, just thinking about those people with their lives ahead of them," said this neighbor about the deceased, who lived in the Medina Azahara urbanization, in a home where their lifeless bodies were found with signs of having suffered violence.

Those attending the minute of silence have shown their dismay at the events, and have shown support for the family of the deceased, while at the same time trusting that what happened will be clarified as soon as possible.
