Five more members of the Casuals, the most violent faction of the Boixos Nois, have been arrested

The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested five more members linked to Casuals FCB, the most violent faction of Barça's Boixos Nois. The Catalan police have informed through a statement that with these arrests, made in recent weeks, the total increases to 33 arrests.

The operation called Hydra remains open against the Casuals, considered one of the most violent criminal organizations in Catalonia. The Mossos consider that they have "beheaded" it and that the capacity of their organization is right now "quite limited". Since June 9, when the first arrests were made on charges of homicide, kidnapping and extortion, there is no knowledge of any criminal act linked to this violent group of blaugrana fans.

Investigators have proven the existence of a communal fund of compulsory maintenance for all members, who had to enter a proportional part of the profits obtained from criminal activities to pay lawyers and maintain the families of the prisoners.

The Casuals FCB had recruited members of new generations of 'hooliganism' to expand their criminal actions and increase their financing to carry out their violent actions in the world of sport. The Hydra operation has frustrated some of them, such as on June 11, when, thanks to the police force, an organized trip to Madrid was prevented to attack Real Madrid ultras in the classic of affiliates with Barça, with promotion to the Second Division in Game.

Outside of sport, the Casuals are known for all kinds of criminal activities such as extortion, drug trafficking, control over cannabis plantations, kidnappings and related activities.
